What occurs during massage?
When I come to your home or office, I take time to connect with your dog in a quiet, comfortable, enclosed area so that background distractions are minimized.
We will discuss your dog's history, previous treatments, past and current issues, sensitive areas and diet. You, the guardian, are welcome to stay and learn from the massage.
I use a variety of modalities in a massage session; these may include sports and/or therapeutic massage, acupressure, essential oils and flower essences, depending on the need of the dog.
A massage typically lasts 30 minutes but your dog decides when the massage is finished. You always want your dog to have a positive experience, not one that was forced upon him/her. Each dog reacts differently to massage. Older dogs may become very playful, and puppies may become very calm. Some curl up and take a nap!
I also may utilize essential oils during massage to further benefit your pet. The oils I use are high quality therapeutic grade and specific to your pet's need. The oils I use are from Rocky Mountain Oils. For further information on the oils I use, click here: Aromatherapy and Essential Oils.
